24 September 2006, Orcalab reports:

No orcas present.

It was quiet over night. The A30s are fairlyelusive. We were last aware of them off of CP just after the A12s went through Blackney Pass around 6pm.

Orcas hunting fish.

After the briefest of rubs the A30s have rounded the "corner" at Critical Point on their way west.

No calls but orcas nearby

The A30s are very hard to track these days because of the infrequency of their calls. The last calls we are certain about were on Parson Island. Which direction did they choose?

Distant calls audible.

This is better! The A30s are still in Johnstone Strait, probably now headed eastward. The calls are frequent and getting stronger.
