03 October 2006, Orcalab reports:

Superb sounds!!

Not orcas but dolphins. The large group of Pacific Whitesided dolphins came from the east and are now off Robson Bight. Amazing sounds!. The A30s went the other direction past Critical Point just before midnight.

No orcas present.

Thought it might be an idea to catch up with today's news. The orcas have not showed up but a large group of dolphins were recently off the Plumper Islands (western end of Hanson Island). They were swimming around a couple of Humpback whales.

Distant calls audible.

Just after posting the last comment I put the earphones on and realised that there are distant dolphin calls in Blackfish Sound and both rubbing and odd sounds within the Reserve.

Well, maybe, just maybe the A30s have turned east again.
