No calls but orcas nearby

Good News! The A30s are on their way back into the area. Currently they are north of Donegal Head in Queen Charlotte Strait but they are eastbound.

The A30s are still in the same area north of Bold head and still just out of range of our system. They are calling (according to the whale watch boats with them ) as they are go back and forth. So perhaps soon...

Distant calls audible.

Just a few calls so far, in Blackfish Sound, but the A30s finally came into range, if only briefly.

Orcas near mics.

These lovely A30 calls are from the Parson Island station. The A30s must have travelled through behind the 2nd tug to travel Blackney to Johnstone Strait. Sounds like the whales are on their way to the Strait.

Distant calls audible.

The A30s continue into Johnstone Strait. There is still a lot of boat noise from the tugs unfortunately.
