28 September 2007, Orcalab reports:

No orcas present.

We've heard no more calls overnight & think it's possible that the last calls we heard, around 11:30pm, were from the A30s as they crossed Johnstone Strait towards Weynton Pass, heading "out" on the slack tide. However, there was terrible boat noise in both Johnstone Strait & Blackfish Sound at the time, so we aren't at all sure. It's a beuatiful morning here & the sun is just up... we are waiting.

The A30s are close to Critical Point, lots of calls & continuous echolocation... sounds like a whole lottafishin' goin' on!

Performing maintenance

So sorry, but we're still unable to solve the hum problem. Will try again tomorrow. Meanwhile, the A30s are headed back to the west in Johnstone Strait. They're now probably somewhere around the western boundary of the Ecological Reserve.

Performing maintenance

We are still in maintenance mode but for the record the A30s are nearing Critical Point in Robson Bight. They have been moving back in this direction very slowly and may have not come furtheer west than east of Kaikash earlier.
