Orcas rubbing on the shore bottom.

We're hearing rubbing sounds on the RB hydrophone, along with a few N3 calls... sounds like the A30s are back!

Distant calls audible.

After passing closely to Critical Point, the A30s are carrying on to the west. Lots of unfortunate boat noise.

No calls but orcas nearby

At the moment it is not clear what the A30s decided to do. Calls dropped off a while ago when they were still possibly west of Cracroft Point. Lovely full moon tonight opposite the Lab.

Distant calls audible.

We began hearing distant calls from the A30s on the Critical Point hydrophone a short while ago. Sounds like they are in western Johnstone Strait, possibly heading east. Persistent boat noise is present in the Strait also.
